  1. Rebecca demonstrates her suitability for the role God has ordained for her.
  2. Laban is revealed as a responsible brother but also focused on material possessions.
  3. Isaac saw Rebekah…and saw the providence of God.
• Applications
  1. Pray for wisdom and discernment.
     1. Pray according to God's will.
     2. Pray for wisdom to be a person of godly character.
     3. Pray for wisdom to discern who is moving in the same direction or trajectory as you.
  2. Fight the temptation to take shortcuts.
     1. Don't let a computer algorithm do all the hard work for you.
     2. Don't take the shortcut of premarital sex or living together before you are married.
     3. Don't take shortcuts out of desperation.
  3. “Lift up your eyes” to see how God answers your prayer.
     1. Grasp the reality of the providence of God.
     2. Take time to thank God when He answers your prayers.
